SNL: When Baldwin’s Trump Asks Who Loves His Cabinet, Answer Deflates Him

SNL cold open at Bedminster with Trump and Kellyanne

If there is any upside to the Trump “administration,” it is the prospect that the incompetence and destruction in Washington will be lampooned weekly on Saturday Night Live with savage effect by Alec Baldwin and the SNL cast, now including Kate McKinnon as Kellyanne Conway. On last night’s SNL cold open, “Trump” greeted “Kellyanne” in his New Jersey golf club office by asking whether the country “loves” his appointments so far. Staring morosely at her phone, she read a tweet of fulsome praise — from former KKK chief David Duke.

And then Mitt Romney (Jason Sudeikis), who memorably called Trump “a con man,” showed up…

One of few bright spots of Emperor Trump’s ascendancy to the throne will be SNL providing lots of humor. Barring some unfortunate mishap, the year 2017 should provide reams of material to work with.

We laugh but there’s really nothing funny about an ignorant POTUS.

You are right. This would all be funny if it wasn’t so dangerous.

The only bad thing is we laugh at his incompetence, ignorance, conning his voters, and narcissism while he violates every norm in American democracy and will do great damage not only to civil rights but to the individual rights of every American. A fascist with a white supremacist agenda makes it hard to find humor in Trump.

President Trump has a nice ring to it.

Impeached President Trump rings better. President Pence is however, is sounding like Putins real agenda.

I would rather hear impeached President Obama

Alex Baldwin or Martin Sheen would make far better, more trustworthy, more intelligent presidents than that know nothing DoofusDonald. Besides, they are 10s and the best the FlabbyDon can do is a -6. 🙂

If 4-year Trump presidency turns out as debilitating as I fear, well: at the LEAST, we’ll have SNL/Alec Baldwin to help re-stabilize our equilibrium when we feel we’re losing it! That was hysterical!

This almost makes me laugh, but not as much as a President elect who demands equal time to make his political statement because of a skit on SNL. OMG.

We used to call someone like Trump a “Titty baby.” Always whining.
