At Least 40 People Killed By 11 Baghdad Car Bombs

BAGHDAD (AFP) – Car bombs ripped through mostly Shiite neighborhoods of Baghdad on Tuesday evening, killing at least 40 people and wounding more than 100, officials said, updating an earlier toll.

The blasts struck at around 6:00 pm (1500 GMT) and hit a variety of civilian targets, including markets, ice cream shops and mosques.
