WATCH LIVE: Obama Makes Announcement On Affordable Care Act

At 11:45am, EST, President Barack Obama is expected to announce an administrative fix to the Affordable Care Act, in a speech from the White House briefing room. The president’s plan would reportedly allow insurance companies to renew plans that do not meet the law’s higher standards of care for one year, while requiring them to notify consumers of alternative coverage options.

Michael McCaul, Republican chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, was echoed a few days later by Ohio Rep. Michael Turner, the chairman of the Intelligence Committee.
