WATCH: Fox News Personnel Will Take Gas Masks To The Conventions

Bret Baier has no clue what will happen at the Republican National Convention.

Baier, the chief political anchor for Fox News, made an appearance on Tuesday’s Late Show with Stephen Colbert to predict that The Donald will in fact clinch the GOP’s nomination, despite efforts by #DumpTrump, #NeverTrump, and similar campaigns pushing for an alternative nominee.

Beyond that, though, the anchor told Colbert that he and other Fox personnel will be ready for anything, particularly when it comes to protests outside the convention. They’re bringing security and packing safety equipment — yes, even gas masks.

“Anything can happen, and this election has proven that we don’t know what’s next,” Baier said.

Unwittingly, Colbert also pokes fun at the credibility of Fox News during the interview. Watch the full clip below:

Late Night Round-Up: Vaccines Getting Their Shot

Late Night Round-Up: Vaccines Getting Their Shot

The Nightly Show examined the measles outbreak in Disneyland, with Larry Wilmore highlighting the ultimate “First World Problem”: Vaccine deniers.

The Daily Show looked at the lighter side of the Northeast snowstorm, and the fact that it didn’t quite measure up to the apocalyptic expectations that were set in the news media’s home base of New York.

David Letterman also got his jeers in at the panic in New York:

Conan O’Brien revealed a new Republican frontrunner for 2016 — someone who frequently tells President Obama that he’s wrong.

Late Night Round-Up: ‘I Did My Best’ With Sarah Palin!

Late Night Round-Up: ‘I Did My Best’ With Sarah Palin!

The big snowstorm in the Northeast didn’t stop the late night comedy shows.

The Daily Show reviewed this past weekend’s big right-wing summit in Iowa: Mike Huckabee’s hunger, Rick Perry’s bellicosity, Donald Trump’s ego, and Sarah Palin’s sheer incoherence.

Conan O’Brien’s monologue also looked at the possible presidential candidacies of Sarah Palin, Mitt Romney, and Jeb Bush.

Former Bush-era White House communications director Nicole Wallace, now a co-host of The View appeared with David Letterman to talk about her political experiences — such as what it was like in the White House press office when then-Vice President Dick Cheney accidentally shot a man.

Nicole Wallace also talked about her infamously bad relationship with Sarah Palin, during her time as an adviser on the McCain campaign in 2008. And even despite Wallace’s good humor, she said that Palin’s deficiencies were “sort of chilling” for the campaign staffers.

“I did my best!” she added.

And on a more serious topic, The Nightly Show saw Larry Wilmore host a panel discussion on the controversies surrounding the movie American Sniper, including both military veterans and critics of the Iraq War.

Late Night Round-Up: Larry Wilmore Takes On Bill Cosby

Late Night Round-Up: Larry Wilmore Takes On Bill Cosby

Larry Wilmore went after a big target for his second episode of The Nightly Show, giving his take on the Bill Cosby sexual assault allegations — with Larry fully believing that Cosby is guilty.

Jon Stewart said he wouldn’t go over the State of the Union address in detail — a comedy show in-joke, as last night’s comedy episodes were all actually taped in the afternoon, before the speech itself. (Stay tuned for the real comedic responses later tonight.) So instead, he took a look at the burgeoning new presidential campaign of Mitt Romney — the man who just keeps on losing.

Jimmy Fallon took a look at the pros and cons of the State of the Union address:

And Conan O’Brien noted that one of the guests at the State of the Union was (or would be!) an undocumented immigrants: “Or as Fox News kept calling him, President Obama.”
