FBI Based Potential Clinton Foundation Case On Debunked Right-Wing Book

Share
Peter Schweizer Clinton Cash

The FBI was reportedly trying to build an investigation into the Clinton Foundation around claims made in a right-wing book riddled with errors written by a Republican activist with a history of bogus reporting. The author’s organization is headed by Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s campaign chief executive and is funded by one of Trump’s top campaign supporters.

The FBI in August was considering whether to expand investigations into both Trump’s former campaign chairman Paul Manafort’s “secretive business dealings in Ukraine” and Democratic presidential nominee “Hillary Clinton’s relationships with donors to her family foundation,” but, following longstanding precedent, decided not to proceed for fear of impacting the election, according to The New York Times. The paper further reported that the Clinton Foundation inquiry “had not developed much evidence and was based mostly on information that had surfaced in news stories and the book ‘Clinton Cash,’ according to several law enforcement officials briefed on the case.”

Clinton Cash: The Untold Story Of How And Why Foreign Governments And Businesses Helped Make Bill And Hillary Rich is a 2015 book authored by Peter Schweizer, a Republican activist and consultant who has worked for Sarah Palin, Bobby Jindal, and Breitbart News.

Schweizer has a disreputable history of reporting marked by errors and retractions, with numerous reporters excoriating him for facts that “do not check out,” sources that “do not exist,” and a basic failure to practice “Journalism 101.” Clinton Cash is similarly a trainwreck of bogus research that included more than 20 errors, fabrications, and distortions, according to a Media Matters review. On the campaign trail, Trump has pushed conspiracy theories from the book, leading reporters to note that the book has been “discredited” and features “lies” and claims that “fell apart under scrutiny.”

Schweizer is also the president of the Government Accountability Institute (GAI), a right-wing group that purports to investigate “government corruption.” Stephen Bannon, who is taking a leave of absence from his role as chief executive of Breitbart News to serve the same role with the Trump campaign, is also the executive chairman and co-founder of GAI. The group has been heavily funded by the Mercer Family Foundation, which is run by Rebekah Mercer.

Mercer’s father, the hedge fund magnate Robert Mercer, is one of the nation’s largest Republican donors and amajor investor in Breitbart News, and the father and daughter were reportedly key to Bannon’s ascension to a leading role in the Trump campaign. Robert Mercer has also donated millions to a pro-Trump super PAC that Rebekah Mercer controls.

UPDATE: Schweizer disclosed during an August Fox News appearance that “earlier this year at [the FBI’s] request,” he had met with “two people from the bureau to talk about some things related to the Clinton Foundation, specifically things that were in Clinton Cash.” From the August 24 edition of The O’Reilly Factor:

It’s no longer even a question over whether the Clintons will be indicted, it’s just a matter of when. The Clintons need to cop a plea where they will be allowed to board their private jet and depart, with a 15 minute head start in fleeing the country. After 15 minutes, the Air Force will then be allowed to scramble 2 fighter jets in pursuit and armed with missiles under wing. The nation’s long running problem will be solved in just a few minutes!

You’re obviously a harmless idiot. Otherwise authorities might take you seriously, and come lock you up for a thorough mental exam.

Not worried……I’d have busloads of Air Force fighter pilots coming to my defense!

Poor, poor Hillary. She is so frustrated with her demise that she has promised, if elected, to have 3 letters permanently removed from the alphabet…..”f’, “b” and” “I”.

By this time next year, I predict Hillary Clinton will be working the night shift at a Taco Bell. And what about Bill? He’ll be a regular at that Taco Bell, hanging around the order area and asking the high school aged counter girls if they’d like to see his special “all beef burrito”!

The FBI does not build cases based on books. The FBI, however, does build cases based on EVIDENCE….and it is clear they have uncovered a lot of evidence!

So what evidence did the FBI have that MLK was a Communist? And by what writ of probable cause did they tap his phones, intercept his correspondence, and bug his home, church, and motel rooms? The FBI as we know was once out of control, being ran as it was for years by a paranoid, could war cross dresser with way too much power. And as we’re seeing, it may have once again gone out of control, and strayed from its duties as a law enforcement agency to essentially political muscle with a badge.

I read this article (linked below) with a lot of sadness, something I had so easily substituted for anger and frustration for so long. Never sadness. This frustrated government worker killed himself today because of whats going on these days. Should we be angry? Happy? Read the note he left.

But more than the note, why should this ever happen? What does it say about us that we are willing to let things descend so far that suicide as a solution is OK? How could things get this bad? Doesnt matter what side you are on or who we’d each love to blame, it happened and its shame on all of us. Nobody should be lost to death over politics or disagreements. By then, we are not a society anymore. This poor fellow literally died for his words. What more proof do you want that things are gravely wrong?

When you vote for Hillary you are extending the problems he noted, not solving them. They dont go away and then he died for nothing. Though I very much disagree with whats said in NM threads, I certainly do not wish anyone dead over it. We are all americans, after all. Hillary is fond of saying “we are better than that.” You know what, Hillary, we are better than you because we are not willing to descend to the depths you are to rise to power. We know better than your own words. And we are not like you.

The note he left was not about Hillary but she certainly reflects onto him; a vote for her reflects that too, that we agree that everything should be business as usual. No, we do not go that lightly, we seek to end that cycle of thinking. You are right, Hillary, we are better than that.

Get over it……Hillary considers people like that as “expendables”. She won’t loose any sleep over anyone that she and Bill cause the premature demise of because to the Clintons, the only important thing in their lives is their constant growth in raw power and unlimited amounts of money……anything or anyone else gets crushed if it gets in their way.

The reason Hillary had the private server was to shield her government server and correspondence from the Freedom of Information Act that she would have been subject to.
They were hiding the fact that they were selling foreign policy to foreign countries and giving favorable status and access, to people that paid into the Clinton Foundation. Consider this. Clinton, herself said they were broke and several years later, they are worth millions and millions of dollars.

Was that the same reason Colin Powell had a private server? You’re either a clever bit of programming designed to be fixated on emails, conspiracy theories, or maybe you’re an escapee from some alt-right ecosystem.
Either way, you’re not helping matters in these chaotic times by regurgitating the same nonsense. Try another line of thought that’s more rational with less juvenile obsession with Clinton’s email server.
For Allah’s sakes, man—GROW UP! Be more thoughtful and mature in your comments.
There’s a veil over your mind which prevents critical thinking. Get a new theme to talk about, get a hobby, take walks in the woods to get some fresh air.
Don’t settle for being a broken record. Did you say your required Salats so far for the day? That should help calm you down and redirect your thoughts to Allah.

You need to preface your remarks with a disclaimer that says. I don’t have a shred of evidence or proof, but this is what I think..Or…Something I heard on Alex Jones, or read on Infowars. Or this piece of gossip my buddy Craig down at the Filthy McNasty Saloon told me after the third shot of Jack…Then come out with it.

The abuse of information technology has occurred on such a scale, and with media outlets grabbing bits of oftentimes bogus information and rushing to satiate America’s thirst for innuendo, gossip, and sensational stories the poison of divisiveness and discord suffuse and penetrate every nook and corner of America’s consciousness. Sean Hannity and others at FOX have been embarrassed numerous times as a result of a hostile and belligerent demeanor that defines that sham of a media presence, and other outlets like CNN and newspapers have been burned as well. The result is an American public being bombarded with a volume of dubious and biased information from the Left, the Right, and in between, resulting in a toxic social atmosphere which may well split the country along clear lines much like the Civil War did over the issue of slavery.

Somehow, this vicious downward spiral, fueled primarily by racism, fear, bigotry, an insane form of nationalism, and partisan politics, must be broken. To go on like this is a death warrant. Enough with propagating the nonsense from sources designed to dish out false information. Twitter and other media outlets have taken the 1st Amendment to ridiculous extremes that exceed the bounds of responsible speech.

From the Gleanings of the Writings of Baha’u’llah, we have the following related to the theme of freedom:

    ———————————————————————————————————–
“Consider the pettiness of men’s minds. They ask for that which injureth them, and cast away the thing that profiteth them. They are, indeed, of those that are far astray. We find some men desiring liberty, and priding themselves therein. Such men are in the depths of ignorance.
Liberty must, in the end, lead to sedition, whose flames none can quench. Thus warneth you He Who is the Reckoner, the All-Knowing. Know ye that the embodiment of liberty and its symbol is the animal. That which beseemeth man is submission unto such restraints as will protect him from his own ignorance, and guard him against the harm of the mischief-maker. Liberty causeth man to overstep the bounds of propriety, and to infringe on the dignity of his station. It debaseth him to the level of extreme depravity and wickedness.
Regard men as a flock of sheep that need a shepherd for their protection. This, verily, is the truth, the certain truth. We approve of liberty in certain circumstances, and refuse to sanction it in others. We, verily, are the All-Knowing.
Say: True liberty consisteth in man’s submission unto My commandments, little as ye know it. Were men to observe that which We have sent down unto them from the Heaven of Revelation, they would, of a certainty, attain unto perfect liberty. Happy is the man that hath apprehended the Purpose of God in whatever He hath revealed from the Heaven of His Will, that pervadeth all created things. Say: The liberty that profiteth you is to be found nowhere except in complete servitude unto God, the Eternal Truth. Whoso hath tasted of its sweetness will refuse to barter it for all the dominion of earth and heaven…”

I’m sure it may well be the case that the most wonderful liberty filled existence we might ever hope to find is in the compete servitude to God, the Eternal Truth. However, it is always that pettiness of the men’s minds, as they try to sell me and others on exactly what that complete servitude is, and of course who I would actually be serving. That has my servitude to The Master mostly cutting out the middlemen forever pleading a cut of the action. But that’s just me.
