Jimmy Kimmel hotly anticipates Wednesday’s impeachment hearing, despite its somewhat legalistic topic – and meanwhile, he still enjoys spearfishing those wacky Trump tweets. The president’s latest online alibi is that the president of Ukraine “exonerated” him in a recent interview. He’s just as innocent as the schoolyard bully whose terrorized victim won’t snitch.

Kimmel seems astonished to learn of a new poll showing that most Republicans think Trump is a better president than Lincoln. Say whut? He channels his outrage into a side-by-side comparison of Deceitful Donald and Honest Abe, with results that are hilarious and depressing.

That’s politics in our Republic these days.
