Everyone has missed that Mitt had to ask for a binder with women in it. I am just saying: what man doesn’t have at least 1 magazine hidden away. Even Jimmy Carter admited to “lusting in his heart”. How can you trust a man that is so robotical? Oh and don’t tell me you haven’t bought a Cosmopolitian or at least looked at it in the checkout line.

    • rgrein

Sorry, people are laughing about the ‘binders of women’ because of the images it brings to mind. In point of fact, he was offered binders of qualified candidate women by a group promoting equality. He did well in the initial push, but did little to keep the numbers high as time went on.

The real problem is that Mitt doesn’t get women’s issues or equality.

      • SibyllasStuff

I agree he doesn’t “get” women’s issues. I thought I heard something Mitt mentioned when the issue of women and work came up in the debates. It was something about working women being able to go home at 5:00 pm so they could then be able to be home to cook supper. What a chauvenist.

rg…you make the leftist freak point perfectly well —> That leftist freaks seek equality in results, not opportunity. By definition, one must be denied opportunity so that one other may be given special treatment to achieve desired social results. You measure results by the numbers. Such a belief IS the folly of the leftist freaks of this world. I commend you on your honesty, at least.

        Have a nice day!

He only wanted the women cause he could pay them less.

          • ObozoMustGo

You mean like Obozo does within his own regime? Yes he does. Remember Anita Dunn? Well, she worked for Obozo and complained that women were paid less. Turns out she was right. Women working for Obozo are paid 18% less than men in comparable jobs. In fact, a review of Obozo’s history shows that he did the same in the Senate and in IL Senate. These are true. Look them up here.

            [replace “dot” with a period]

What has Obozo done for women? Specifically. What has he done? And don’t say the Lilly Ledbetter law because that is nothing but a ruse, and if you are a smart person, you will look up what exactly it does and will realize that it does nothing except give trial lawyers a boom by extending filing deadlines. That’s all it does. Since it was passed in 2009, only 35 cases have been brought. That’s hardly a “massive impact” for women. It’s just political window dressing for useful idiots like you to believe the Obozo narrative and lies about how good he is for women. What a joke.

            Have a nice day!

          • grammyjill

Do you know that since he signed that, most places to work have put in their rules that if you discus your pay with any other employee you will be fired? At least the President doesn’t have a policy in place to take womens rights away from them. Just that alone would keep me from voting for Romney. But you add that to everything else, I honestly can’t believe you would vote for him. You seem kinda smart sometimes. I’m sure you’ve heard his lies and know they are lies. I know they are lies. Maybe you don’t really pay attention to everything he says like I do. Maybe you don’t have as good a memory as I do. Maybe it just doesn’t matter to you that Romney and Ryan are lieing. But I can’t trust someone that lies even when the truth would do better for him. Maybe you agree with Ann Coulter when she said the other day that republicans just don’t wanta black man in the white house or on air force one. And you’ve got assholes like Issa who releases name of people that help us in Libya, putting their lives at risk. I hope if any of them get killed, hegets charged for murder cause he did it just as if he pulled the trigger. And Dan Senor and two other of Mitt’s advisors have already put in a wriiten recommadation to send troops into Sirya. Like we need another war. If you look at the whole package, that’s something you leave on a shelf somewhere, or the nearest trashcan. Maybe you don’t like Obama, but he has gotten us on the road to a stable, balanced recovery. I think we should let him finish the job.

          • grammyjill

And did you watch Ann on the View? When asked about the job of first lady and having to visit the troops in the hospitals, etc. She wrinkled her nose like she just smelled something bad. And her sons served their country by goingon religious missions for their church. What! My son was shot at, not laying on a beach somewhere. Vote for those people, NOT A CHANCE!

Your equation is foolish, as are your and Alexis’ misconceptions of democracy and socialism. Democracy cannot flourish while people are categorically denied participation – there is no equality in opportunity when women are kept in the kitchen and nonwhites are kept in servitude. Or are you stupid enough to think that there is no discrimination?

A consistent result (poverty, low voter turnout, lack of good jobs) does not indicate by itself that discrimination exists. It is something to investigate, and if a large enough injustice exists then we can try to find WHY and do something about it. Using numbers is called science. We can argue what the numbers mean or what to do about it, but the only way to measure something is with numbers. You got a problem with that?

Only a bully calls the attempt to provide an equal playing field unfair. Leftists do not demand equality in results (OK, a few do – extremists are everywhere), what they do demand is equal opportunity. There are many ways to provide equal opportunity. The best way is for decision makers to not discriminate, but they have categorically refused to do so in the past, so less optimal methods have to be used. To stand by idly is to deny the very liberty you worship.

BTW, why the name calling and vitriol? Some would suspect you fear those you belittle.

          • ObozoMustGo

rg… you obviously have that racial chip on your shoulder that’s so big you’ll never get it off. There is little to no racial discrimination today, unless it is government sponsored like Affirmative Action plans and/or racial quotas. And using numbers to measure results of government sponsored racial targets IS NOT science. That is racism. Prejudging based upon skin color IS state-sponsored racism. There is no other way around it.

I understand you leftist freaks better than you understand yourselves. You have this urge within you, this belief within you, that somehow you can perfect mankind through social policy. If only everyone did and believed as you told them to, the world would be perfect, wouldn’t it. Your commentary about studying so-called social issues that are big enough and then creating policies to change those perceived problems is exactly what I’m talking about. You actually believe that you can have government that will do these things. This is the difference between you and I. You believe in government, I believe in individual freedom and liberty. It’s really that simple.

By the way, I don’t belittle you leftist freaks. I just give you the truth of what you are, and you just think it’s an insult.

            Have a nice day!

“A wise and frugal Government, which shall restrain men from injuring one another, which shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned. This is the sum of good government, and this is necessary to close the circle of our felicities.” – Thomas Jefferson

And now… the REAL Cartoon of The Day!

“Democracy extends the sphere of individual freedom, socialism restricts it. Democracy attaches all possible value to each man; socialism makes each man a mere agent, a mere number. Democracy and socialism have nothing in common but one word: equality. But notice the difference: while democracy seeks equality in liberty, socialism seeks equality in restraint and servitude.” ― Alexis de Tocqueville

  • I thought it was stupid for Romney to even say that .Does Romney keep them on all his wife’s and their children really.Ha.

  • “Binders of women” from a Mormon sounds like he is shopping for Sister-Wives for Anne.

  • rgrein

Hmm. More insults ObozoMustGo, but you’re not very good at it. As for the rest, well, it’s pretty clear you have already decided who and what I am – to the point of putting words in my mouth that I never uttered and politics in my head that I don’t have. Has the fact that ANYONE can read my previous posts and see that you’re lying occurred to you? It might be a worthwhile discussion if you’d drop the childish behavior, but until then please sit on your thumbs and let the grownups talk, OK? There’s a good dear.
