Sean Hannity: Obama Didn't Actually Want To Kill Bin Laden [Video]

Last night on Fox News, conservative pundit Sean Hannity claimed that President Obama did not actually want to kill Osama bin Laden — and Hannity says that he can prove it on tape.

Video of Hannity’s comments is below, courtesy of Buzzfeed.

“Hannity: I think they’ve got a foreign policy that has shown a lot of weakness. I know the President will say “well we got bin Laden,” putting that aside…

Frank Luntz: And the public gives him credit for that

Hannity: They do, the public does give him credit for it. But it wouldn’t have happened if he had his way, and I think that can be proven on tape.”

It’s unclear what tape Hannity is referring to, but it probably isn’t this video of Obama from the 2008 presidential campaign, in which Obama makes it clear that he would send American troops into Pakistan if he had a chance to take out bin Laden.

For what it’s worth, Republican frontrunner Mitt Romney — who Hannity endorsed in 2008 — said at the time that he would not have ordered troops into Pakistan.

Furthermore, Hannity didn’t elaborate on who did get their way if Obama didn’t. Republicans have gone to great lengths to deny the president any credit for his successes, but Hannity’s theory that someone somehow overruled the Commander in Chief’s opinion on whether we should send Navy SEALs into Abbottabad last May borders on delusional.
