WATCH: CNN Anchor Moved To Tears Over Story of Syrian Boy

CNN anchor Kate Bolduan was visibly shaken while reporting on the tale of five-year-old Omran Daqneesh, a Syrian boy who was pulled from the ruins of a building in Aleppo after what the New York Times reports was a Syrian or Russian airstrike.

Bolduan had to pause several times to compose herself, as she described the scene of the little boy’s shock and the war in Syria. The country has been undergoing a violent civil war for several years. During Wednesday night’s airstrike that left Omran and his family shocked, but alive, several more were injured and three people were killed.

“This is Omran. He’s alive. We wanted you to know,” she concluded the broadcast.
