Not a terribly bright moment in satire or political commentary.

Danziger is not known for his love of progressives or their issues.

  • tom sellier

That silly minority in that absurdly vision deficit cartoon represents such a minority of Americans. When “Obamacare” is fully implimented those anti will come in droves to the door asking, “May I come in please?” We will be a lot more gracious than they. As is always the case. After all we trust God. Unlike the Republicans.

  • CPAinNewYork

Danziger’s cartoon makes no sense, because Obama, and congress, have excellent medical plans. And, they get to keep them after they’ve left office.

  • CrankyToo

Let’s see if we can’t put this Obama “lie” into perspective….

President Obama gets a talking point from a cabinet secretary and broadcasts it to the world. Unfortunately, it turns out to be about 5% untrue. But as a result, millions of people benefit, billions of dollars are saved, and avaricious health insurers are stymied.

President Bush gets a talking point from a cabinet secretary and broadcasts it to the world, despite the fact that both men know it’s a 100% falsehood. As a result, hundreds of thousands of (mostly innocent) people are killed, trillions are flushed down the shitter, and avaricious defense contractors are handsomely rewarded.

You right-wing scumbags need to STFU!

I think I’m going to plagiarize your “talking point” the next time I argue with my brother. thanks!

      • CrankyToo

It’s all yours LBG, but if you brother’s one of those firmly entrenched Repugnicans, don’t expect the message to get through.

In any case, all the best to you, Darling.

That cartoon needs a couple more panels: (man in cap, as he walks away) “You can keep it.” (hops into the back of an ambulance) “I’ll continue to use the ER for free, forcing my neighbors to foot the bill for the inevitible illness or injury that I refuse to prepare or pay for.” (Obama) “You know, you’re an asshole.” (man in cap) “So? At least I’m a Christian.”

  • Justin Napolitano

Obama really did mess up. He should have said if you like being screwed by your insurance company I am sorry but they can no longer do that. However if you want insurance that means something then you will be able to get it.

    • ralphkr

But, Justin, that is an absolutely horrible sound bite.
