1. Ted Cruz

All of the Republican candidates for Senate oppose the Voting Rights Act, but only Ted Cruz won the Sarah Palin seal of approval. Palin told a rally of Cruz supporters, “Ted is not going to D.C. to make nice with the frou-frou, chichi cocktail crowd.” Instead, Cruz is going to take on imaginary conspiracies that involve the World Bank and the UN. Being a Republican Senator from Texas is generally a lifetime appointment. But is Cruz pulls off an upset over establishment favorite Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst, the implications could be even bigger. A nationally known Republican consultant said, “If Ted Cruz wins the Senate race, Texas will be a purple state in four years.” Apparently he’s so far to the right that even Rick Perry’s state will be forced to do a little soul searching.

    Gosh I wonder if I could become a member of the TEA PARTY. I have no meaningful education, no scruples, no sense of morality, low self esteem, and I’m functionally illiterate. My favorite activity is fondling my gun collection. I like to disrespect anyone who doesn’t believe in creationism or who thinks mankind is contributing to the global warming myth. I believe that all non-white or mixed race people are inferior to me and that only poor people should pay taxes. So am I qualified to join?

Make sure that you also born in the good old USA, have your long form of BC with right size fonts and the doctor must be a live that delivered you, they must verify – ooops – maybe Ron PAul will do that.         Above all, make sure you wrap yourself in the flag and make absolutely certain that neither you nor your children serve in the armed forces. Accusing the opposition for high unemployment while blocking legislation to invest in infrastructure to create jobs and ensure the USA can compete effectively in the 21st century, and blocking legislation to punish companies that outsource jobs overseas and reward those that invest and create jobs in the USA, would fulfill all the prerequisites to be considered a true Tea Party patriot deserving of a gold medal and higher office. Whatever you do, make sure you don’t tell anyone that you are actually getting SSI and food stamps because you are bipolar. Only minorities and foreigner do that!

          DV – Read my post again please. No I am not on SS ( a little too young-63) I have 3 businesses and opening 4th, I will create jobs for at least 2 more people. I am not on med, and not bi polar and not on food stamps (never was) – actually I donate a lot of food to food pantry). My son served in the US Navy submarine for 6 yrs – (peaceful times)I have 6 cats all rescued because somebody got tired of them and tied them to my fence ( I have 3 acres) and for some was too late and I had to bury them. I have a pit bull – also a rescue was given to me by police because somebody dumped her in the middle of cold night ( 6 mo puppy), I have a horse (do not take tax deduction on him) also a rescue from horrible abuse and slaughter house, not to mention I feed any wildlife on my property year around. Legally I could take deduction on my horse but it would be morally wrong and the $2500-$2800 a year (boarding and vet care) can hardly make me or break me. I am not greedy, never was. I walk the walk and talk the talk. I live on dead end street block from a river. Most of my neighbors are REPUBLICANS and each time vote comes around, their yards are littered with signs for their heros. Many of them even drop some fliers either on my property or my mail box. Told them zillion times I don’t put any signs for any party because I vote on issues not party and I don’t donate to any party, not even a penny because I do not believe that money should manipulate/buy elections. It become to be, let them most financed win, no matter how qualified he/she is.
          I DO RESEARCH on how this person voted on issues important to ME and how it does his vote affect/benefits the COUNTRY and my FELLOW man. Being legal Immigrant with US Citizenship for the last 35 yrs, I survived all Presidencies. In my opinion the worst ?? Nixon,Reagan, Bush Sr, & JR- Best under Ford, Clinton and Obama. I run CPA, Translation business- Carter) Import/export – Clinton, specialty food store – Obama (will be open in 2013 if all is OK.)I am registered Democrat and mostly vote Democratic, but voted for good Republican’s in the past.. So you rant against me makes no sense. I found the new breed of Rep/TP a obnoxious, stupid, selfserving, racist and liars. The whole bunch of them are INSANE. “Definision of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results”- Einstein. Repeal something that the whole nation needs 33 times is beyond sanity and the abortion issues are beyond comprehension but KUDOS for standing for life as I am prolife. Punish the rapist not the baby. My mother let me live and it weren’t easy times (1949). I came from Communist country I have never had my rights to vote suppressed nor I had to donate any money. I had free education (they still have it and no longer under communism) free medical and a lots free trips around country. So I don’t get your comments. This time NO REPUBLICAN WILL GET MY VOTE. Also, frothing at the bit about the right to have guns and ammo while people die at the hands of murders and lunatics in public places. Blowing smoke about the right to bear arms that goes beyond reasonability and sanity…aligning yourself with the NRA (whose CEO is a firebrand and lunaic himself-take a look at LaPierre and be very very afraid),…it is a horrid horrid fiasco….Cheney and his cronies are at the very least, vile and evil people….I don’t believe anyone could have written a more atrocious script than these wicked people…

      You might be able to join however you need to make some adjustment in your statement. First of all you need to mispell words more. Spell them phonetically and make them in caps for emphapasis. That is the “TEA PARTY WAY” shout down reasonable solutions to problems, don’t try to politely talk of solutions , then propose the most radical screw ball ideas you can think of while holding the American flag high. Remember also to insult all the people who don’t originate from the “TEA PARTY” brain cesspool.

    I fervently hope by now that the far right-wing loons have made their idiocy fully apparent to the electorate and the 2012 election will restore some sense of comprimise to both houses of congress.
    The tea party crowd should be ushered out unceremonially as one big bag of trash, dumped on the pile containing the John Birchers and others of thier ilk. I just don’t understand how living, breathing humans can continue to elect angry nutcases to the posts of power. The GOP is only for the very rich and it is a puzzle how poor and middle-class working people could vote for any of the far-far-right group that they have devovled into today.

    I’m coming more and more to the conclusion that the GOP wants us to be a one party
    country. It reminds of the 1930 in Germany and probably still today Russia. Because if
    the GOP keeps the majority in the house and somehow wins the majority in the Senate
    that is exactly what it will amount to. Compromise will be a dirty word.

    THEY ALLOW THE LOBBYS TO WRITE LEGISLATION AND THE REGULATED TO DETERMINE THE REGULATIONS. IS IT ANY WONDER WE ARE IN ECONOMIC TROUBLE? THEIR IDEA OF A JOBS BILL IS TO ELIMINATE REGULATIONS AND OVERSIGHT TILL UNEMPLOYMENT IS AT 6%. HOW IS THAT GOING TO HELP ANYONE BUT THEIR LORDS AND MASTERS, THE 1%. NOT ONLY WOULD WE THEN STILL BE UNEMPLOYED, BUT OUR AIR AND WATER WOULD BE TOXIC.

    THE TEA PARTY TOLD PEOPLE THAT THEY WERE ALL ABOUT FISCIAL RESPONSIBILITY – YET THE RYAN PLAN WOULD SIGNIFICANTLY INREASE THE DEFECIT TO FUND MORE TAX CUTS FOR THE WEALTHY. THEY SAID THAT THEY WERE FOR A SMALLER GOVERNMENT – ONE JUST BIG ENOUGH FOR A WOMAN’S VAGINA. THEY SAID THEY WERE ALL ABOUT REDUCING TAXES – BUT THEY DID NOT MEAN YOURS.

    THE BIGGEST PROBLEM WITH THE TEA PARTY IS THAT THEY CONSIDER IT A BADGE OF HONOR TO BLOCK EVEN GOOD, FORMERLY NONPARTISAN LEGISLATION OR POLITICAL APPOINTMENTS JUST TO GIVE A POKE IN THE EYE TO THE PRESIDENT AND THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY. WE HAVE A DISFUNCTIONAL CONGRESS BECAUSE THE GOP THINKS COMPROMISE IS A DIRTY WORD.

    The sample ballot I received a week ago has two pages of Republicans, mostly Tea Party enthusiasts, running for office and only one page of Dems. The difference is not because there are more Republicans than Dems running, but because Dems are not even running for many positions. Most of my neighbors are Republicans, some receive welfare because of alleged ailments, receive food stamps even though they eat out almost every day, use ERs, and many have sued their former employers or other drivers when they are involved in accidents, Incredibly their yards are filled with signs for Tea Party candidates running on fiscal responsibility and condemning “liberal” behavior!

      Because some get paid for putting up signs and vote oposite.. My neighbor put a sign for all the Republicans and came over my house and asked if I can put sign for Joe Walsh (I am in IL) and other goofballs. I said I don’t put any signs for any party because I vote on issues not parties. 2nd – I am on the dead end street (ends on my property) and nobody comes here to see it, and my friends do the same – no signs for anybody. When Joe Walsh won, they came over and said – see he had won, I said, well good for him and you, but now just watch and see what comes out of his mouth. Sure enough. I knew about his financial problems etc, so now with all these hooplas and him running his mouth they don’t put any signs this time, he is running against Tammy, so going to my mail box I asked, why no sign for Joe?? They said, we are Republicans, hard core but we are taking your approach . I said – No Romney signs?? NO! NO!NO!. They are former business owners and live off their savings and SS (they did contributed to SS). They lost their business in 2007 after 30 yrs in Business, daughter almost lost it hers in 2008 but got rescued by Gov. loans in 2009 so she is in business and doing very well, actually better when she started in 2006. I wish people understand what Democracy, Socialism, Communism, Liberal, Conservative, etc means – they don’t. They only flap their gums and like W.Churchill said ” When the eagles are silent, the parrots begin to jabber”.
      I always wondered how the American electorate so very often vote against it’s self interest. Ignorance, bigotry, hate and lack of common sense.

      Well, the accepted ratio for ‘non white’ status is generally 1/4 ‘ethnic’… especially if you ‘look’ non white… ice-t has the same ratio as obama and can pass for white. Likewise, vin diesel. My niece is less than 1/4 black and looks (at 6) completely black…her full blood brother (both parents the same) looks half and half at the most…

Step two: when the masses have overthrown the producers, there will be a leadership vacuum, and Obummer just happens to be aailable for the job of emperor.

      America is and should always remain a democratic republic, not a democracy.

      Since no one that voted for Obama could ever possibly have rad a book, I don’t know why I would suggest this, but look up the definition of a democratic republic and see just exactly how different it is. Then, you will know the answer to the question “Who is John Galt?”

    I couldn’t bring myself to vote for Dewhurst or Cruz in the primary. I can’t see either one in the Senate. Dewhurst has been in the state capitol for many years and is just another bought and paid for state politician. Cruz is just a wing nut attorney and, if you believe Dewhurst’s ads, doesn’t seem to have any scruples about who he represents. Too bad Pat Paulsen can’t run for office again.

    What do this tell us about Americans state of mind when they are getting even enough support to be elected?
    Is the expansion of welfare, Medicaid, unemployment benefits and stimulus funds that went to companies that did not created any jobs giving a plataform to these extremes candidates.
    Has Obama wasted his initial political capital in implementing a plan soooo unpopular (PPACA) that has created this backlash?
    The best hope Democrats (and us Independents) have to avoid those wackos to take office is to come out with reasonably Conservative Democrats candidates with a chance to win the votes of reasonable Republicans and Independents. If Democrats go ultra-liberal at a this time of poor economy and unemployment, they WILL LOSE

    It’s interesting that the Republicans claim that they need a leader. They also will not work under any circumstances with the President, even if the ideas were theirs to begin with. Compromise is grounds to be drummed out of the party and unified voting is the agenda and is mandatory.
