Remembering Mrs. Thatcher

  1. And now…. The REAL Cartoon Of The Day!

    Have a nice day!

“I came to office with one deliberate intent: to change Britain from a dependent to a self-reliant society – from a give-it-to-me to a do-it-yourself nation. A get-up-and-go, instead of a sit-back-and-wait-for-it Britain.” – Margaret Thatcher, Speech, 1984

    • Why gush over Thatcher, the resoundingly-hated English bigot, when you have plenty of American bigots available for your hero worship?

    • But she was not entirely successful, was she. Another privileged prima-donna who married into big money and immediately forgot her humble (allegedly) beginnings. Busted the unions, drove down wages and quickly retired when her little house of cards appeared ready to fall. The female Ronald Reagan. Or was he the male Margaret Thatcher? They both created temporary relief followed by a resounding crash. But, by dying, she has gained instant sainthood.

  2. When the result is giving more riches to the rich this is not governance but blatant regression. Coincidence? But the two most regressive leaders of the XXth century Thatcher and Reagan ended up affected by Alzheimer’s disease. Symptomatic.
