Frustrated Trump Urges MAGA Rallies At Courthouses Across The Country

Hours before the start of opening arguments and the second week of the trial of the first former U.S. president to face criminal charges, Donald Trump is urging his supporters to “rally behind MAGA” and “go out and peacefully protest” at courthouses across the country, as he laments the protections and high security at Manhattan’s Criminal Courts Building.

Trump’s remarks come just days after a man set himself on fire last week outside the same courthouse where jury selection was underway in Trump’s criminal trial. That man later died.

Seizing on current news stories, Trump claimed “Palestinian protesters, and even rioters,” are “allowed to roam the Cities, scream, shout, sit, block traffic, enter buildings, not get permits, and basically do whatever they want including threatening Supreme Court Justices right in front of their homes.”

NCRM has found no reports of pro-Palestinian protestors “threatening Supreme Court Justices right in front of their homes.” Over 100 pro-Palestinian protestors were arrested in New York City last week, according to Reuters.

Trump also complained that “people who truly LOVE our Country, and want to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN, are not allowed to ‘Peacefully Protest,’ and are rudely and systematically shut down and ushered off to far away ‘holding areas,’ essentially denying them their Constitutional Rights.”

The U.S. Supreme Court has ruled areas designated to house protestors are legal, including at courthouses depending on the protestors’ motivations.

“America Loving Protesters should be allowed to protest at the front steps of Courthouses, all over the Country, just like it is allowed for those who are destroying our Country on the Radical Left, a two tiered system of justice. Free Speech and Assembly has been ‘CHILLED’ for USA SUPPORTERS. GO OUT AND PEACEFULLY PROTEST. RALLY BEHIND MAGA. SAVE OUR COUNTRY!”

Trump concluded by misquoting the famous Democratic U.S. President Franklin Delano Roosevelt: “THE ONLY THING YOU HAVE TO FEAR IS FEAR ITSELF.”

This is not the first time Trump has urged his followers to show up and show support for him. Ahead of his expected indictment in New York District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s criminal case against the ex-president, Trump told his supporters to “protest,” and “take our nation back!” in all-caps.

Last week, MSNBC‘s Lawrence O’Donell “explain[ed] how Donald Trump’s wish for a revolution during his first criminal trial did not happen because his supporters did not show up.”

Donald Trump has been criminally indicted in four separate cases and is facing a total of 88 felony charges, including 34 in his New York criminal trial for alleged falsification of business records to hide payments of hush money to an adult film actress and one other woman, in al alleged effort to suppress their stories and protect his 2016 presidential campaign, which could be deemed election interference.

Florida Man Admitted Slaughtering Family In Chilling 911 Call

Florida Man Admitted Slaughtering Family In Chilling 911 Call

Miami (AFP) — A Florida man who shot dead his daughter and six grandchildren calmly admitted his crimes in a chilling 911 call before killing himself, but a motive for the slaughter may never be known, police said Tuesday.

“I just shot my daughter and shot all my grandkids and I’ll be sitting on my step and when you get here I’m going to shoot myself,” Don Charles Spirit, 51, said in the call, according to the local sheriff’s department.

Spirit — who had spent three years in prison for accidentally shooting dead one of his sons — shot his 28-year-old daughter and grandchildren last Thursday in Bell, Florida, before taking his own life.

The youngest grandchild was just three months old.

In the call to emergency services, Spirit gives details of the bloodbath, telling the dispatcher they included “six kids, one adult, and one of them is a baby.”

Spirit had a brief verbal exchange with police officers when they arrived at the scene before he shot himself, a statement from the Gilchrist County Sheriff’s Office said.

Preliminary autopsies showed that all the victims died from wounds inflicted by a .45-caliber gun found at the scene.

Authorities are investigating how the ex-convict gained access to a firearm and said the catalyst for the killings may never be known.

“As of this time, no clear or definitive motive can be determined,” the statement said.

“This tragic and devastating event may never be fully explained. We would continue to ask everyone to keep the victims’ family, friends, classmates, and the community of Bell, Florida in their thoughts and prayers.”

Spirit was jailed in 2001 for three years for accidentally killing his eight-year-old son during a hunting trip.

Spirit had a lengthy criminal record that included 13 arrests for various offences such as aggravated assault and theft, according to local media.

The Miami Herald reported Tuesday that on September 1, child protective services had received a complaint alleging that the six children were living with two drug addicts.

Spirit’s murdered daughter had recently been released from prison, where she served time for drug-related offences.

James O’Keefe Blames Shadowy Forces for Wikipedia Mistakes

Conservative propagandist James O’Keefe thinks that liberal billionaire George Soros edited his Wikipedia page to include a common misconception about his criminal record. In an interview with The Awl yesterday, O’Keefe claimed that the only reason people think he’s a criminal is “because they read Wikipedia,” which is “edited by George Soros, who edits out my innocence pertaining to the felony.”

O’Keefe, best known for deceptively edited videos targeting ACORN and NPR, was arrested last January after dressing as a telephone repairman and entering the offices of Senator Mary Landrieu. He was originally charged with tampering with Sen. Landrieu’s phones, a felony, but that was dropped after he agreed to plead guilty to entering her offices on false pretenses, a misdemeanor. [The Awl]
